Support the Cockayne Farmstead Preservation Project

Historic preservation and community outreach are costly efforts, and every gift, whether large or small, is greatly appreciated. Your support helps us preserve this memorial to Marshall County's past and use it to inspire and educate a brighter Marshall County future.

MAKE YOUR DONATION GO FURTHER: Select monthly or annually when making your donation to set up a recurring gift! Also consider donating to the Cockayne Farmstead Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Endowment, whether through a current gift or a bequest, will create a legacy of support that will provide sustainability for Cockayne for future generations. All of your donations are tax-deductible. Speak with your financial advisor about how you can best make a difference!

Your donations allow us to continue preserving a unique and irreplaceable piece of West Virginia history. All contributions benefit the Cockayne Farmstead preservation project, a special project of the Marshall County Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations to the project are tax deductible. If you would like to earmark your donation for a specific use or program, please include this information in the comment field.

Throughout the year, the Farmstead hosts educational and community building events for children and adults of all ages, in addition to preserving and maintaining one of the most unique historic buildings and collections in the state of West Virginia, right here in Marshall County. We also maintain the Traveling Trunk program, which brings local history to approximately 900 students each year.
