On June 20, 1863, West Virginia became the 35th State to join the Union. To celebrate West Virginia’s birthday, the Marshall County Historical Society is sponsoring a photo contest. Scenes featuring Marshall County landmarks, landscapes, monuments or heritage sites will be accepted. As prizes, the Society will be awarding 35 American made 2’ X 3’ West Virginia flags of quality nylon construction with holes and grommets to the top 35 winners.
