MCHS Photograph Preservation Workshop

The Marshall County Historical Society will host a photograph identification and preservation workshop on Saturday, April 9, from 10 am to noon. Learn how to identify, date, and preserve your family photographs for future generations. Erin Rothenbuehler, director of the Bellaire Public Library will present a brief history of the types of photographs you may find and will show you how to properly house, label, and care for your historic collection of photographs.   The workshop will take place at the Marshall County Historical Society Museum at the corner of 13th Street and Lockwood Ave. in Moundsville.

The cost of the workshop is $30 ($25 for members of local historical societies or museum professionals) which includes instruction, archival storage materials, and an information packet to take with you. Participants are welcome to bring your own photographs/photo albums to work with during the workshop. Reservations required as there is limited space available. To reserve your spot, call (304) 845-1411 or stop in to the  Cockayne Farmstead.  Payment due upon reservation.
