The Marshall County Historical Society presents “A Cockayne Wedding: ‘A Day in the Life’ Living History Event”!

On May 17, 1870, Lida Cockayne, daughter of Bennett Cockayne, married Henry C. Taylor of Wheeling in the Cockayne Farmhouse. Join us as we recreate that historic event! Tour the farmhouse, meet the family members, and find out all that went into planning a Victorian wedding!

Tours will occur every fifteen minutes throughout the afternoon. The ceremony will be re-enacted at 2:30 and 4:00 pm. Wedding cake and punch will also be served to our visitors in the Cockayne Visitor Center.
